Carrie Denning Jackson

Biography: Carrie Denning Jackson is a Director on the Development team at Sidewalk Labs, where she is responsible for the ground floor development and innovation strategy. Prior to this role, Carrie spent a year in Toronto launching Sidewalk’s experimental lab and workspace, 307, and she originally joined Sidewalk as the Chief of Staff, where she oversaw much of the company’s growth from the mid-teens to 100 plus. Before Sidewalk Labs, Carrie was the San Francisco Curator and Director of Strategy and Partnerships for the art-tech collective, Shared_Studios. Carrie has led teams and shaped projects including three years with IBM’s Smarter Cities team and a year-long fellowship with the Environmental Defense Fund. She’s conducted research for a wide range of think tanks and organizations, including the Brookings Institution, Bloomberg Associates, San Francisco Planning and Urban Research, and Bombay First. She also spent time during her MBA at China Vanke, China’s largest residential real estate developer. Carrie has a BA, MA, and MBA from Stanford University.
