Biography:
Kirsten Ekdahl Hull is the Executive Vice President of Portfolio Management at Perform Properties, Blackstone’s office and retail platform. With more than two decades of experience in real estate development and asset management, she has spent the past eight years at Perform Properties (formerly EQ Office). During her tenure, she led the $500 million redevelopment of Willis Tower, a transformative project that achieved LEED Platinum certification—making it the largest building in the U.S. (3.8 million square feet) to earn that distinction. Kirsten is also a founding member of Women of Willis; a networking initiative aimed at empowering and connecting women throughout the building. Before joining Perform, Kirsten served as Portfolio Manager at McCaffery Interests, where she represented the University of Chicago’s commercial real estate group and oversaw asset management for an 800,000 square foot portfolio of retail, office, and undeveloped land. Earlier in her career, she was Development Director at Joseph Freed & Associates, where she worked on several urban infill and mixed-use developments, including the 1 million square foot Sullivan Center—a national historic landmark in downtown Chicago that was redeveloped into a 15-story office and retail complex. Kirsten holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and earned her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She serves on the Advisory Boards for Urban Land Institute’s Chicago District Council and Women’s Leadership Initiative; is a Chicago Loop Alliance board member; Goldie Wolfe Miller Initiative board member & mentor; member of the Chicago Committee for Cycle for Survival; and is a 25+ year board member of Chicago’s Princeton AlumniCorps committee.
