Jason Ficht
Biography: Jason Ficht is Vice President of Planning and Design for the Irvine Company. Over his career Jason has focused on urban and suburban redevelopment, large-scale master planning, regional park systems, urban greening, complete streets and walkable downtowns. Specific projects include redevelopment planning for Irvine Company, master planning of The Great Park Neighborhoods for Five Point Communities, visioning of Tustin Legacy for Brookfield/Oliver McMillian, urban greening for the City of Fontana and international master planning for the companies EMAAR, Dubai Properties and Qatari Diar to name a few. Jason has twice received the “Grand Award” for best International Master Plan from the Pacific Coast Builders Conference for Mivida Master Plan in Cairo Egypt and for Al Houria Master Plan in Tangier Morocco. He also received the “Ray Watson” award for outstanding student work from the American Planning Association. He has an advanced Certification in Urban Designer from the American Planning Association, member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, American Planning Association and American Society of Landscape Architecture. Jason has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a Minor in International Relations from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from University of California Irvine. He has taught several courses including a course on Master Planned Communities for the Light Construction and Development Management Professional Program at University of California Irvine. Jason chairs the Urban Land Institute Orange County Public Realm Council focused on improving the public realm of Southern California, is a Full Member of ULI and a member of the Suburban Redevelopment Product Council.
