Biography:

Steve Fried is Head of Originations at Mesa West Capital, overseeing national loan originations teams in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and San Francisco. Mr. Fried joined Mesa West in 2005, has been a member of the senior leadership team since 2013, and helped grow Mesa West into one of the leading U.S. real estate private credit managers. Mr. Fried previously co-led Mesa West’s originations efforts, continues to serve on both Mesa West’s investment and management committees, and has 19 years of investing experience. Prior to joining Mesa West in 2005, Mr. Fried worked as a Senior Accountant for Deloitte & Touche’s Private Equity Group in New York and earned his CPA. Mr. Fried received an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management and a BA in accounting from Yeshiva University. Mr. Fried is also a board member of the Make A Wish real estate division.
