Andrew Grace
Biography: Andrew is a Senior Urban Designer and Planner at the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA), the economic development and planning agency for the City of Boston. He’s responsible for overseeing planning and development of Boston’s downtown neighborhoods, including the Downtown Crossing district, the Longwood Medical and Academic Area and the Stuart Street blocks in the Back Bay. Prior to joining the BRA, he was a Senior Project Manager at Goody Clancy, where he played a leadership role in urban design projects including the award winning masterplan for Boston’s Turnpike Air Rights in, the Assembly Square Redevelopment Plan in Somerville Massachusetts, and numerous mixed-use neighborhood revitalization plans in North America. He also worked as a project architect at Haverson Architecture and Design, a design firm located in Greenwich, Connecticut specializing in retail and entertainment architecture. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Andrew has taught at the graduate level at MIT, and has served as adjunct faculty at Tufts University from 2008-2010 where he taught an undergraduate architecture design studio. He has also taught design at Roger Williams University School of Architecture, Art & Historic Preservation, and served as guest critic and speaker at MIT, Harvard, and the Boston Architectural College. He is a Board member of the Boston Public Market Association.
