Biography:
Brent Gibadlo is the team leader of Brookfield Properties’ Land and Housing operations in the South Carolina and Charlotte, NC markets. His primary responsibility is Nexton, an award-winning, 5,000-acre mixed-use community that was recently named the top master-planned community in the U.S. by the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB). Located in Summerville, S.C., Nexton also received the Grand Award for best Community Land Plan during the Pacific Coast Builders Conference’s 2020 Gold Nugget Awards. Upon completion, Nexton will include more than 10,000 homes and over 6 million square feet of commercial property. Brent has been involved in every aspect of developing Nexton since the community’s inception in 2009. Upon graduating from the College of Charleston in 1997, Brent spent five years on Capitol Hill. He worked for two U.S. Representatives focusing on U.S. tax and international relations policy. In 2004, he earned a Master in Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Brent is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and currently serves on the Community Development Council (Green Flight).
