Biography: May 2013 Brian Garrison Managing Director Forest City International London, United Kingdom Mr. Garrison has been actively engaged in the property development industry for more than 30 years, with project experience throughout the U.S., Europe, Russia, Latin America, India and China. He has been involved with and/or directed the development of master-planned communities, luxury retail and leisure destinations, urban high-rise office and condominium buildings, and historic preservation. Mr. Garrison is President of Value Retail International, and serves as Joint Chief Executive of SUN Forest City Ventures. Value Retail is a leading developer and operator of retail and leisure destinations focused on luxury and premium fashion brands in 7 European countries and in China. SUN Forest City Ventures, originated by US publicly quoted real estate developer Forest City Enterprises, Inc. and Indian venture capital and industrial organization The SUN Group, focuses on the development of large-scale, new town projects in India, anchored by strategic industries. Current activities are focused on the creation of a new community in Bangalore to support India’s rapidly growing aerospace and defence sector. Previously, Mr. Garrison’s career has included senior positions with merchant bank Dumas West & Co., Japanese developer Kumagai Gumi, New York-based W&M Properties, and Reichmann International in Toronto and Mexico City. Mr. Garrison is a graduate of Vassar College and the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, and served as Research Scholar at the Center for Environmental Planning and Technology (now CEPT University) in Ahmedabad, India’s leading school of architecture, planning and environmental design. A native New Yorker, Mr. Garrison has lived in India, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom, where he resides with his wife and two sons.
