Chickie Grayson

Biography:
As president and chief executive officer of Enterprise Homes, Inc., Chickie Grayson has more than 30 years of experience in the development of housing for people from all walks of life. Since 1987, when she began her career with Enterprise, Chickie has established a reputation for building high-quality, mixed-income communities and workforce homeownership opportunities. Enterprise Homes has a very successful track record for large-scale master planning, undertaking and completing complicated mixed-income housing developments in both suburban and urban areas in the Mid-Atlantic region. Enterprise also has extensive experience in layered financing to achieve its goals by working with private institutions and federal, state and local officials. To date, Enterprise Homes has developed over 5,000 for-sale and rental units. Chickie has been honored with the HOPE Leadership award, recognizing her achievements and dedication to providing homeownership opportunities for people from all walks of life. Under her leadership, Enterprise Homes developments have received numerous awards, including the Best in American Living Award, the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development Commitment to Excellence Award, the HAND Award for the Best Development of the Year in the District of Columbia and the HBAM Land Development Council’s Excellence in Community Development Award. Chickie is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where she earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in urban affairs. She currently serves on the FHLB Atlanta Advisory Council and the boards of the Maryland Affordable Housing Coalition, Parks and People Foundation, the Home Builders Association of Maryland, Enterprise Housing Corporation and Archbishop Curley High School.
