Clifford Graves

Biography:
Clifford W. Graves President Bay Area Life Sciences Clifford W. Graves is the President of the Bay Area Life Sciences Alliance. Mr. Graves joined BALSA in April 1997, after three years as Executive Director of the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency. A native San Franciscan, he returned home in 1994 after a 25-year absence in San Diego and Washington, DC. In San Diego, he operated his own management consulting firm and was managing director of an investment banking firm specializing in infrastructure finance from 1988 to 1994. From 1986-1988, he was Director of Planning for an international environmental management corporation. He was Chief Administrative Officer of the County of San Diego 1976-1985. In Washington DC, from 1969-1976, Graves was Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Deputy Associate Director of the US Office of Management and Budget. He worked as an urban planner in the San Francisco Bay Area and in England, and has lectured on urban development issues at universities throughout the US. Mr. Graves is a Trustee of the University of California San Diego Foundation and Chair of the California Oil Spill Technical Advisory Committee. Member Directory  Arrow
