Eleanor Gorski

Biography: Eleanor Esser Gorski, AIA, is the Executive Director of the Cook County Land Bank Authority. In this role she is responsible for overall management of the CCLBA operations including its extensive real estate holdings. In addition, she develops real estate and economic development policy, procedures, and strategic planning to create community wealth for stakeholders and municipalities. Prior to her current role, Eleanor was Director of Planning and Design for the University of Illinois at Chicago after spending over 20 years in planning and economic development at the City of Chicago. A licensed architect, Ms. Gorski received degrees from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and the Pennsylvania State University. She is a Fellow both of the American Academy in Rome as well as the University of Chicago Civic Leadership Academy and serves on the University of Illinois School of Architecture Alumni Board.
