Biography:
John Gunther-Mohr is a real estate professional with over 25 years of experience in real estate finance. He joined Santander in summer of 2011 as a senior banker focused on building a lending platform in the New York and Washington, D.C. markets. Prior to joining Santander, he headed U.S. real estate finance for the Bank of Scotland based in New York. After acquisition of Bank of Scotland by Lloyds Banking Group he managed the bank's real estate portfolio to wind down the bank's U.S. exposure. Before joining the Bank of Scotland, Mr. Gunther-Mohr served as General Manager for the U.S. Representative Office of Allgemeine Hypothekenbank Rheinboden AG (AHBR), a German mortgage bank with $70 billion in total assets. Mr. Gunther-Mohr is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. He is a long time member of the ULI and currently is on the Board of the Real Estate Lenders Association, a New York based non-profit that provides networking and educational events for its members and the U.S. real estate banking community.
