Manuel Gonzalez

Biography: Manny Gonzalez, FAIA is currently the Managing Principal of "Lifestyle Design Consulting, Inc." a design and planning consultant to some of the country’s leading active adult community developers. Prior to launching his consulting practice Mr. Gonzalez was the Managing Principal for KTGY’s 55+ Practice Group and the Managing Principal of KTGY’s Los Angeles Studio for nearly 22 years. He was responsible for overseeing the design, land planning, and production of active adult, service enriched and affordable multifamily residential and mixed- use developments throughout the U.S. In 2016, Mr. Gonzalez was elected to The College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects. Election to Fellowship recognizes not only his achievements as an individual architect but also his significant contributions to architecture and society on a national level. Mr. Gonzalez was also recognized in 2015 by Builder magazine for his legacy of delivering remarkable residential design with his induction into the prestigious Marvin Hall of Fame for Design Excellence. In his more than 40 years of practice in residential development, Mr. Gonzalez has won numerous other awards for his innovative designs including Gold Nugget, Best in American Living and Pillars of Industry, and received the LEED for Homes Multifamily Project of the Year Award for the Platinum Certified community of Primera Terra in Playa Vista, CA. Mr. Gonzalez recently received his 28th NAHB Best of 55+ Housing Gold Award and 44th overall including four Innovation Awards. He was also recognized as NAHB’s inaugural “55+ Associate of the Year” at the 2016 International Builders’ Show (IBS). Mr. Gonzalez provided his design expertise for two showcase homes 2019 IBS and 2016 Greenbuild Conference, which pushed the boundaries of efficiency, sustainability and health and well-being.
