Vanessa Cruz

Biography: Vanessa joined True North to lead the expansion of the business to invest internationally in carbon sequestration opportunities via timber and reforestation. She joined on May 2023 as Fund Manager for True North's third Fund. Her 18 years' experience working as an investor, portfolio manager, product development and ESG are a great complement to the team of forestry experts. Prior to joining True North, Vanessa worked at Areim and was involved in the strategic business development of new products and initiatives in the ESG space and prior as an investor with Composition Capital Partners Fund of Funds, The Wellcome Trust and UBS Global Real Estate Multi Managers. She holds a BA Economics from Universidad del Pacifico (Peru) where she is originally from, and is a CFA Charterholder.
