Carl Hedman

Biography:
Carl Hedman is a Master of City Planning candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he focuses on affordable housing policy and finance. His current research explores how municipal affordable housing development and residential stability strategies have changed in the wake of the national affordable housing crisis. Carl is a research fellow with the City of Boston’s Department of Neighborhood Development, where he supports the City’s efforts to develop and implement new affordable housing policy. Prior to graduate school, Carl was a researcher at the Urban Institute, where he focused on federal affordable housing policy, residential segregation, municipal housing strategies, and barriers to capital access for low-income communities.
