Biography:
September 2020 Christopher J. Hartung Executive Director Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics Christopher Hartung serves as Executive Director, Policy Advisory Board, Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics, University of California at Berkeley as well as an Executive-in-Residence at the Haas School of Business at Berkeley. He is also a Partner and Co-Founder of Terra Firma Asset Management, which is the successor entity to Lazard Asset Management's Global Real Estate Securities platform. Prior to joining Lazard, Christopher was Senior Advisor at Grubb & Ellis Alesco Global Advisors, responsible for alternative investment strategies, capital markets, product development and research. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Wells Fargo Securities/Eastdil Secured, responsible for providing investment banking services to both public and private real estate companies. He was also a Managing Director and Group Head of Real Estate Equity Research at Banc of America Securities and also worked in Real Estate equity research and strategic planning at JP Morgan. He holds a bachelor's degree from Cornell University. Christopher served as lead independent director, chair of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee, and member of the Audit Committee, of FelCor Lodging Trust, a public real estate investment trust. He is a full member of the Urban Land Institute and is a past Chair of IOPC-Silver. He has also been involved with Lambda Alpha International, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT).
