David Hale
Biography: David Hale President, Land Development David Weekley Homes David Hale, President of Land Development and Partner with David Weekley Homes. Based in Houston, David Weekley Homes is the nations’ second largest privately-held homebuilder with operations in 16 markets. David brings over 27 years of real estate experience to David Weekley Homes. He joined David Weekley Homes in 2003 to initiate and expand land development activities for the company. In his current position, he oversees the acquisition and development of properties nationally for David Weekley Homes and is responsible for the management of Weekley’s affiliated real estate development company. He is also managing the company’s infill housing and distressed asset acquisition efforts. Prior to joining David Weekley Homes, he was Vice President of Acquisition and Development for senior housing and hotel subsidiaries of GE Capital and Security Capital Group. Previous experience includes, Director of Land Resources for Ryland Homes in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and Vice President of Acquisition and Development with Questar Properties, a master planned community developer located in the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore area. David is member of Urban Land Institute and the Greater Houston Homebuilder’s Association. Active in his community, David volunteers with his church and sits on the Board of Directors of the Greater Houston Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is member of the Baylor University Development Council and Real Estate Committee. David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance from Baylor University. He resides in Houston with his wife and three daughters.
