John Hersey

Biography:
John Hersey, AICP, LEED AP ND, works at the intersection of equitable mobility and inclusive development. In addition to leading SUPA LLC, where he works with cities and developers to expand multimodal transportation and entitle mixed-use / mixed-income real estate, John leads the University of Colorado at Boulder's sustainable planning and urban design curriculum and serves on related groups, including the Urban Land Institute - Colorado's Urban Mobility and Design Committee. A committed ULI member, John has participated in ULI - Colorado's Partnership Forum, Development 360, and NEXT professional-development programs. Prior to this work, John directed transit-oriented development at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority in Boston, at the Regional Transportation District in Denver, and at Enterprise Community Partners. In addition, John has worked with transportation agencies and colleges in Boston, Denver, and Washington DC. John earned a B.A. in sustainable urban planning and an M.A. in regional planning from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an M.A. in real estate development from the University of Maryland at College Park.
