Matthew Hardy

Biography: Matt Hardy leads the Ferguson Partners Australia and New Zealand business. He is a real estate specialist having started his career at JLL and moving into executive search after 25 years in real estate. Prior to his time in executive search, Matt has had extensive experience in direct real estate, equities and funds management over 25 years. He has worked as a valuer and consultant in direct property in the UK and Australia for global groups CB Richard Ellis and Jones Lang LaSalle, a senior REIT analyst for Hambros Equities, Head of Property Investments for Barclays Global Investors managing all real asset funds in Australia, General Manager for the Mirvac managed Capital Property Trust, presiding over a three-way stapling to move the company from and externalized to an internalized model, and subsequently, Head of Investments and Developments for the newly structured Mirvac Funds business, driving strategy and new business.  He worked closely with the PCA for much of his time in leasing, sitting on the Commercial Office Committee. After leaving the executive of Mirvac, Matt has had a Non-Executive career alongside his Search and Consultancy responsibilities. He was Non- Executive Director of Mirvac Funds Limited between 2009 and 2013, which included Board oversight of a range of residential and hospitality funds. He is currently Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Centuria Healthcare Asset Management and Centuria Property Funds Limited, an Australian based Fund Manager with approximately $20 billion of real asset funds under management, including the ASX listed Office REIT, Centuria Office Fund. Matt has a degree in Urban Estate Surveying from Nottingham Trent University and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
