Paul Hessburg

Senior Research Ecologist
USDA-FS, PNW Research Station
Biography:
I am scientist in the government and academic research domains. I have been actively studying the ecology of forests and rangelands and their disturbances since 1978. I am interested in the synergies that are possible but not yet realized between human and wildland ecosystems. Climate change and wildfires and their associated impacts on water delivery, clean air, and wild open spaces currently threaten human and wildland ecosystems. However, opportunities to develop and live more sustainably abound. I am interested in exploring and improving the sustainability and resilience of human ecosystems that are embedded in these larger wildland ecosystems. Member Directory  Arrow
