Jeff Johnston

Biography: Jeff Johnston is a Principal at Cathartes, a Boston-based real estate investment and development company. The company's current portfolio and development pipeline is focused on urban locations within the multi-family and select service hotel property sectors. Cathartes also developed a 5.5 megawatt commercial scale solar park. During his 27 years with Cathartes, Jeff has completed real estate transactions totaling over $1 billion. Recently, he was the lead on a mixed-use project located in downtown Portsmouth NH called Portwalk which consists of three branded hotels, 175 multi-family units, 50,000 square feet of ground level retail/restaurant space and a managed parking facility. (www.portwalkplace.com). Jeff is the past Chairman of the Alumni Association of MIT’s Center for Real Estate and currently sits on the Board of the Portsmouth Music Hall. He has participated multiple times in Boston Marathon on the Dana-Farber Marathon Team, the Pan Mass Challenge and Chef's Cycle.
