Maureen Joyce

Biography: Ms. Joyce is Managing Director, Head of U.S. Real Estate Debt & Equity Asset Management and Equity Portfolio Management for Barings. She is a member of Barings Investment Committee. Previously, Maureen oversaw ESG and Risk Management for the equity real estate platform. She held the positions of Managing Director of Asset Management and Head of Separate Accounts for AEW’s Private Equity platform. Ms. Joyce also served as Senior Portfolio Manager for AEW Value Investors U.S. and a value add separate account. Maureen was a member of AEW’s Investment Committee and Risk Management Committee. She was a co-chair of AEW’s ESG Steering Committee and sponsor of AEW’s Technology Council. She has over 32 years of diversified real estate experience that encompasses structuring and underwriting new investments, financing properties, managing existing assets and portfolios as well as completing workouts with lenders and real estate operators. Prior to joining AEW in 2002, Ms. Joyce worked for CB Richard Ellis Investors, where she managed a large portfolio of value real estate assets for a separate account client. She has also held positions at Spaulding & Slye, where she served most recently as a Vice President in the Capital Markets Group but also worked with the Project Management team. At Copley Real Estate, Maureen was a Principal/Senior Portfolio Manager. Ms. Joyce is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Officer Parks (NAIOP). She is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), sits on its Technology and Real Estate Council (TREC) and is a leader of WLI Circle (Yellow). She is a graduate of Trinity College (B.A.) and The Carroll Graduate School of Management at Boston College (MBA).
