Scott Johnston

Biography: Scott Johnston Partner Talisman Partners, LLC Atlanta, GA Scott Johnston is a Partner with Talisman Partners LLC, a firm he founded primarily to pursue mixed-income multifamily development and consulting projects. Prior to that, he worked with several Atlanta-based developers, including Miller Gallman and H.J. Russell & Company. He has focused on the financial structure and execution of new and existing projects and also worked for the Atlanta Board of Education in a real estate and facilities management department. Mr. Johnston moved to Atlanta in 1999 after spending four years in Cleveland, Ohio developing and consulting with for-profit, not-for-profit and faith-based organizations on developing affordable housing. Prior to founding Talisman Partners in 1994, he was the Assistant to the President for AEW Capital Partners, a prominent Boston-based real estate pension fund advisor. Prior to Business school, Mr. Johnston worked in Sales and Marketing with both I.B.M. and Unisys Corporation in Detroit. Before embarking on his professional real estate career, he earned a M.B.A. from The Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a B.S. from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Mr. Johnston is also active in the Atlanta civic and business community, serving as a member of the Urban Land Institute Atlanta Executive Committee and as Chairman of the Program Committee. He is a board member of the Atlanta Business School Alliance, and is also a member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club. (June 09)
