Alexander Kalamaros
Biography: Alexander E. Kalamaros DPDS AICP CTP Dr. Alexander E. Kalamaros is a uniquely qualified interdisciplinary professional offering valuable experience in real estate planning and development, brokerage and management. He holds current certifications in commercial and residential real estate brokerage, sustainable infrastructure, transportation and urban planning. Dr. Kalamaros has directed projects bridging public and private interests for an array of local governments, non-profits and foundations, private enterprises and individuals in California and other U.S. cities, and a dozen cities in China and East Asia. His experience spans 30 years over the complete spectrum of the development process, including consultations with attorneys, architects, engineers, urban designers, lenders, federal, state and local officials, sustainability consultants, educators, transportation managers, policy advisors, corridor economic managers, complex real estate project negotiators, brokers, construction managers, property and asset managers. He has lectured and presented frequently and has authored over a dozen articles for Urban Land and other publications. He retired from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority in January 2017, where he managed the One Santa Fe and Hollywood Walk of Fame projects. Since then he has carried out consulting, planning and brokerage assignments and managed a portfolio of residential properties for his family office.
