Carl Kincaid

Biography: Carl Kincaid is a partner of REA. Leading the design of many of the firm’s projects, he brings together collaborators and creators to find common ground. In all of his work, he’s driven to steward the natural environment. With 25 years of experience, he has lead the design of both large-scale planning projects and small-scale, site-specific projects. Carl led the design and implementation of the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, an innovative, eight-mile greenway integrated into the urban infrastructure of downtown Indianapolis. The trail features bicycle and pedestrian pathways, public art and monuments with custom lighting and signage. He also led the design for Purdue University’s Centennial Mall transformation. Most recently he has led the planning and design for the new Carmel Monon Trail & Midtown Plaza and innovative redevelopment of the former Monon Greenway in Carmel. Carl is chair of the Purdue University Professional Advisory Council and a member of the Indiana Parks and Recreation Association.
