Biography:
A partner with Urban Atlantic, Caroline Kenney has completed $600 million in real estate projects since joining the company in 2006 and currently oversees in excess of $3 billion in public-private developments underway in Washington, including the 66-acre Parks at Walter Reed, 80-acre Villages at Armed Forces Retirement Home and 20-acre Arthur Capper/Carrollsburg. She has worked with a wide range of public partners including the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority; multiple agencies of the District of Columbia; housing authorities in Washington; Tampa; Greensboro, NC, Memphis, TN and Baltimore, MD; and the Armed Forces Retirement Home. Caroline has also been involved in Urban Atlantic’s New Markets Tax Credits and EB-5 investment programs, as well as portfolio asset management. Early in her career, Caroline was a Development Manager of affordable housing projects for East Lake Management and Development Corp. (Chicago); New Communities Program Consultant with LISC Chicago; and Resource Development Manager with Lawndale Christian Development Corporation (Chicago). Caroline holds a Master’s in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a BA in Political Philosophy from Wheaton College in Illinois. She sits on the board of the Washington DC Economic Partnership, the Real Estate Advisory Committee for Jubilee Housing, and the steering committee of the Washington chapter of ULI’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (past chair).
