Deb Kunce

Biography:
Deb is a registered Architect and Vice President of J.S. Held. Her role is to drive strategy, build relationships, and ensure clients achieve their ideal facility through Owner’s Rep services. Deb is committed to growing future leaders through involvement in local industry, community groups, and one-on-one mentoring. With over 30 years of planning and construction experience, Deb is a driven project leader who applies creative strategies with practical implementation. Deb is a long-time member and leader of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), including her time as a National Vice President and Board Member from 2009-2013. Deb is a past member of the Indiana ULI Management Committee and former chairman of the ULI Technical Assistance Panel. She currently serves on the Second Helpings board and the Indy Chamber Government & Fiscal Policy Committee. Deb has been recognized by her peers and community. She was recognized by the IBJ as Forty Under Forty in 2004, Indy’s Best and Brightest in 2008, Midwest Engineering News Record as a Top 20 Young Professional in 2011, and the Indiana National Association of Women Business Owner of the year in 2018. Deb was elevated to Fellowship within the AIA in 2011, and was recently honored with the AIA Indiana Gold Medal, the highest honor bestowed by this statewide organization. Deb regularly moderates and/or presents on Construction Trends, Owner’s Rep Services, Construction Delivery Methods, Commercial Real Estate, Professional Practice, Leadership, and Communications.
