Biography: Gerald L. Katell President Katell Properties Gerald L. Katell serves as President of katell Properties. The firm is engaged in commercial, industrial, and residential real estate development and asset and property management. Katell Properties specializes in business parks and was ranked the eleventh largest real estate development firm in Los Angeles by Los Angeles Business Journal for 1997. The company has developed over 5 million square feet since it was started in 1976. Prior to founding Katell Properties, Mr. Katell was President of W & K Co., a development partnership with Watt Industries, Inc. He was previously President of Parking Strctures Internations, a firm specializing in the design and construction of parking structures for hospitals, universities, corporations, municipalities, and shopping centers. Mr. Katell is Chairman of the Industrial & Office Park Development Council for the Los Angeles District Council of the Urban Land Institute, a member of the Board of the Governors for the Urban Land Foundation, and a Charter member of the Lusk Center for Real Estate Development at USC, a director of the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley and a director of L.A.'s Best. He is also a member of the World Presidents Organization, Chief Executives Organization, and the International Real Estate Institute. Mr. Katell is a licensed general contractor in California and Florida.
