Brad Leibin

Biography:
An architect and educator, Brad Leibin, AIA, is an Associate at Marvel in New York City and an Assistant Visiting Professor at Pratt Institute in the Department of Interior Design where he offers unique expertise in design, housing affordability, and prefabrication. With a deep commitment to making a positive impact on the world, Brad has guided the design and construction of thousands of affordable and market-rate homes for a wide range of residents—formerly homeless individuals, low-income families, tech workers, and more—in a variety of contexts. Brad is currently Project Architect for two large-scale family affordable housing developments comprising 400-units in Far Rockaway Queens, a 200-unit affordable housing development in White Plains, NY, a 200-unit mixed-use housing development in Manhattan. Prior to joining Marvel, Brad was an Associate with David Baker Architects (DBA) in San Francisco, where he co-led DBA’s cutting-edge, prefabricated (modular) multifamily housing efforts. Brad is active in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Advisory Services Panels consulting cities across the United States on matters of housing reform. He led the ULI San Francisco Climate Resilience Working Group and served as Vice Chair of the ULI San Francisco Policy and Practice Committee. Prior to DBA, Brad was Design Lead at San Francisco-based national non-profit, Public Architecture, a pioneer of the public interest design movement that is now widely embraced by mainstream design institutions. Brad holds a Masters in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded the Arthur Spayd Brooke Memorial Prize for design excellence as well as the Lewis E.
