Gary Linhart

Biography: Gary founded WestHawk Capital in 2020 after being a Founding Partner at ViaWest Group for over 16 years. WestHawk Capital is a diversified property investment firm investing directly in commercial properties as well as with joint venture and platform operating companies. Gary has over 20 years of finance, investment management, marketing, business operations, and consulting experience. At ViaWest, Gary led the capital markets function, focused on capital partners. Additionally he oversees the public-markets investment activity through RIA subsidiary VWP Asset Management, LLC. Under its affiliated Registered Investment Advisor, and co-manages the investment strategy and finance activity for ViaWest. He previously managed the company's multi-family activities, overseeing the acquisition, conversion, and disposition of over 2,000 apartment units to condominiums for a national multifamily / condominium client. Prior to forming ViaWest, Gary was a long-time investor in real estate. As president of Grenfell Properties, he focused on real estate acquisitions in Metropolitan Phoenix, primarily in the multifamily sector. Other previous work experience includes serving as an investment analyst at Eden Capital Management, a private $240 million money management firm. He was responsible for identifying and selecting investment opportunities for a long-short equity hedge fund across various sectors including education, automotive, distribution, and media & information. Additionally, Gary co-founded and served as president of a venture-funded technology company and was a consultant with the media group at Booz, Allen & Hamilton in New York. Gary spent several years in Tokyo, Japan as marketing and sales promotions manager for the Bridgestone Corporation where he oversaw the sales and financial analysis of its retail development and distribution headquarters for 275-outlet stores.
