Biography:
Andy is PwC’s London Market Insurance leader and has 28 years of experience of the insurance sector. Andy’s experience includes: as PwC’s Global and UK Leader for Insurance Risk and Regulation focussing on cross-sector Insurance Regulation; and as an external audit partner, where he was responsible for the audits of a large number of major insurance companies and Lloyd’s syndicates. Andy works regularly with his clients with acquisitions and restructuring, including diligence processes and the set-up and authorisation of new businesses. Andy has worked extensively with clients on complex deals across the insurance sector. Andy has regularly acted as a Skilled Person under the S166 regime and has led numerous regulatory reviews for both of the UK regulators. He has also worked with other European Regulators and EIOPA. These projects have covered a variety of areas, but primarily been focussed on governance, risk management, control functions, prudential and capital matters, reserving, board effectiveness and strategic planning. Andy is a member of PwC’s Global Insurance Leadership Team and is the co-author of a number of PwC’s publications on insurance regulatory matters.
