Biography:
As president, Brian oversees the CBRE Capital Markets institutional sales business, including multifamily, office, industrial, retail and hotels. Brian began his real estate career at CBRE in 1983 as a multifamily investment specialist based in Chicago. During the subsequent 22 years with CBRE, Brian was recognized as a perennial top producer for the firm with a specific emphasis on the institutional market. He was involved in representing institutional investors and public companies in the acquisition and disposition of approximately $4 billion of multifamily properties. In 2005, Brian joined Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (formerly RREEF) as a Managing Director in the Transactions Group. He served as an active member of its Investment Committee during his seven-and-a-half year tenure at the firm. In 2007, he became Chair of DAWM’s Investment Committee and Head of DAWM’s Transactions Group, with specific responsibility for all acquisitions, dispositions and capital markets decisions. Throughout his tenure on DAWM's Investment Committee, the company acquired more than $15 billion of properties and sold over $12 billion of properties. CBRE was pleased to welcome Brian back to the firm in January 2013 as a Senior Managing Director, responsible for the national production of multifamily investment sales. His extensive experience in institutional multifamily sales combined with proven management skills provides the expertise needed to lead CBRE sales professionals nationwide. In January 2015 Brian took on the role of Executive Managing Director, Capital Markets. In this expanded role, he has responsibility for CBRE’s overall institutional sales platform in the United States, working with the leaders of retail, office, multifamily and logistics.
