Biography:
Cathy Marcus is the co-chief executive officer and global chief operating officer of PGIM Real Estate. Cathy is based in Newark, New Jersey. PGIM Real Estate is one of the largest real estate investment managers in the world, offering a broad range of real estate equity, real estate debt, agriculture and sustainable investment strategies globally. As co-CEO, Cathy develops and leads the global strategy and has oversight across the PGIM Real Estate businesses. As global COO, she is responsible for overseeing business and investment operations globally. In addition, Cathy is co-chair of the board of directors of RealAssetX, PGIM Real Estate’s innovation lab aimed at accelerating advancement in the real asset industry. Previously, Cathy was head of the U.S. Equity business. Earlier, she was the senior portfolio manager for PGIM Real Estate’s flagship core equity real estate fund, serving more than eight years as a portfolio manager of the fund before becoming senior portfolio manager in 2012. Prior to this, Cathy served as head of investment underwriting and operations for PGIM Real Estate’s Transactions group, and earlier was a vice president for Prudential Corporate Real Estate Advisors. Before joining Prudential, Cathy was a second vice president with MBL Life Assurance Corporation where she was involved in real estate portfolio management, commercial loan securitization, commercial mortgage loan restructuring, portfolio dispositions and special projects. Cathy has a bachelor's degree in real estate finance and entrepreneurial management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a master of science in real estate investment and development from New York University. She serves on the board of directors of Skanska AB, Interface and PREA. She is also a member of the Schack Institute of Real Estate’s advisory board and a member of ULI’s Industrial and Office Park Development Council (IOPC). Member Directory  Arrow
