Edward C. Maher, Jr. Executive Vice Chairman, Capital Markets Group Newmark (Boston) 617.863.8612 | [email protected] Edward “Woody” Maher is Executive Vice Chairman with Newmark's Boston-based Capital Markets Group, one of the nation's most successful institutional investment sales groups. Over the course of his 35-plus year career, Mr. Maher has specialized in the marketing, sale and/or joint venture/recapitalization of institutional investment real estate exceeding $65 billion. The assets range from Class A office towers and life science properties to suburban office campuses, large-scale logistics parks and urban mixed-use assets across the northeast United States. Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Maher was Vice Chairman with Cushman & Wakefield’s Boston-based Capital Markets Group, the firm’s #1 investment sales team globally. A 1987 graduate with honors from the College of the Holy Cross, Mr. Maher is an active member of both the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Mr. Maher has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility and served on a variety of philanthropic boards and committees. He is currently a member of the Board of Overseers at Boston Children’s Hospital, a Trustee at Derby Academy and is a passionate supporter of the Navy SEAL Foundation. Mr. Maher is also the co-founder of Champions for Children’s, an annual benefit that supports Boston Children’s Hospital and has become the hospital’s top fundraising event.
