James McGinley

Biography: James J. McGinley III (Jim) Mr. McGinley serves as Executive Vice President of Development & Capital Markets of MORE Residential, a multifamily acquisition, development and investment platform. He previously held a similar position with Monogram Residential Trust, a NYSE listed apartment REIT, until its sale and privatization in late 2017. His responsibilities include overseeing and managing all of the Company’s new multifamily development projects and capital market activities throughout the United States. Mr. McGinley has over 30 years of lending, financing, development and real estate investment experience in excess of $7 billion in transaction value. Prior to joining Monogram, Mr. McGinley held several positions with Archstone, formerly a NYSE listed apartment REIT that was taken private in 2007 and purchased by two large publicly traded apartment REITs in 2013. Most recently he served as Group Vice President of Capital Markets for Archstone, where he directed the project capital structuring and closing of the firm's equity relationships nationally. Previously, as Group Vice President of Investments, Mr. McGinley oversaw the firm’s third party joint venture equity investments throughout the U.S. Prior to joining Archstone, Mr. McGinley served as a Development Partner for Phoenix Property Company, where he oversaw development of infill luxury multifamily and mixed-use properties in several western states. Prior to joining Phoenix, he was with JPI, a national multifamily development and acquisitions company. During his career at JPI, Mr. McGinley held a variety of positions, including Vice President of Development and Vice President of Finance. Mr. McGinley began his career with the predecessor of Bank of America. Mr. McGinley also operated Trinity Realty Interests, his own national development consulting business. Mr. McGinley graduated from the University of Notre Dame Graduate School of Business with a Masters of Business Administration
