Biography:
Ken McIntyre has over 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Executive Council ("REEC"). REEC is the preeminent trade association in the U.S. for commercial real estate executives of color, with a membership of over 210 executives involved in the full range of CRE activities across the U.S. REEC's mission includes developing and scaling initiatives focused on: • creating a pipeline of diverse talent (REEX – www.REEXPrograms.org), • expanding opportunity for minority business, developers and investment managers (supplier diversity initiative), • preparing members for serving on Boards of Directors (Board Preparedness initiative, in partnership with Ferguson Partners), and • scaling a mentorship program to connect REEC members with young, diverse talent throughout the industry Previously, Mr. McIntyre founded and serves as Managing Principal of PassPort Real Estate, LLC, a New York based consulting firm focused on advising developers and institutions on commercial real estate deal execution and platform structuring. His clients have included Project REAP, a non-profit that is focused on increasing the diversity of talent in the commercial real estate industry, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, where he served as Executive Advisor to the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, focused on connecting minority businesses with opportunities with the Port Authority. Mr. McIntyre currently serves on the Boards of Newmark Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NMRK, fka Newmark Knight Frank - Chair of ESG Committee, Chair of Audit Committee), Acadia Realty Trust (NYSE: AKR – member of the Nom/Gov., Audit and Investment Committees), the Real Estate Board of New York, Yorkville Youth Athletic Association, and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. Additionally, he is a past trustee of the Real Estate Roundtable and the ICSC, where he served as Treasurer and as a member of the Executive Committee.
