Scott Matthews
Biography: Scott Matthews, Sr. Development Director With over 26 years of development and management experience in multiple product types including multifamily housing, Scott Matthews currently oversees Vulcan residential and mixed-use development projects located in the Pacific Northwest. As a member of the Vulcan’s senior real estate team, Scott also plays a key role in the master planning and strategic direction of the Vulcan’s real estate investment activities including the redevelopment of its 60 acre land portfolio in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. While Scott’s real estate history includes all aspects real estate acquisition, development, construction, finance and management, his experience is concentrated in the development of institutional quality residential and mixed use projects. Scott supports ULI’s Seattle chapter by actively participating in Technical Assistant Panels targeted towards complex and transformational projects such as Yesler Terrace, Totem Lake Town Center and ULI Development Committees focused on urban planning issues such as the Right Size Parking Committee. His prior employment includes working as president of Investco Properties Development Corporation, vice president and area partner for JPI (2001 - 2002). He also held a lengthy career with Trammell Crow Residential that included several development roles (1993 - 2001) where he oversaw the development of over 3,000 apartment units in the Pacific Northwest. He further contributed his employment expertise to Marcus & Millichap (1991 - 1993) as a broker and to Delco Group (1986 - 1991) as a project manager.
