Biography:
Egbert Nijmeijer joined Kempen Capital Management in 2011 and is responsible for Investments in listed and non-listed Real Estate funds and listed Infrastructure funds as Co-Head Real Assets. The team has successfully executed a data-driven systematic investment approach to Real Asset investments with strong focus on ESG for over a decade. Before, Egbert worked for the development finance department of Bouwfonds property finance and as an Asset Manager at a residential corporation. In these roles he gained experience with the Direct Real Estate Market and Real Estate Development. He started his career at Robeco as a Portfolio Manager where he managed Emerging Markets equity portfolios. Egbert holds a MSc. in Industrial Engineering & Management specializing in civil engineering. He completed the Real Estate management program of Harvard Business School in 2014. Egbert is a guest-lecturer at Harvard Graduate School of Design's Department of Urban Planning and Design on data science in Real Estate. He guest-lectures at TIAS Business School on innovation in Real Estate. Egbert is co-author of the Harvard publication Dynamics of Real Estate Innovation.
