Biography:
NAWAL NOOR is the Founder and CEO of Noor Companies a Social Enterprise that performs mission-based work in construction, real estate development and community engagement. Nawal is a Licensed General Contractor and and brings eight years of development experience and six years of construction and project management experience and over 9.5 years of successful corporate finance, audit, strategy and marketing experience working for Ecolab, a $16 billion global company in the Twin Cities. Prior to that she has spent five years in asset management for Aeon (formerly CCHT), a nonprofit developer, owner and manager of high-quality affordable apartments and townhomes, which serve more than 4,200 people annually in the Twin Cities area. She has won numerous awards including top 30 Developers in Minneasota, Top Women in Construction 2022. She is a 2019 Bush Fellow and active in the community. She served and still serves on a number of boards and committees including, ULI MN Housing and Market Council, Co-Chair of Hennepin County Workforce Leadership Council, Hennepin Healthcare Advisory Board, Past Board Member of Minnesota Housing Finance Agency (Governor Walz Appointed), DEED Emerging Entrepreneur State of Minnesota Board (Governor Dayton Appointed), State of Minnesota Disparity Study External Stakeholders, University of Minnesota National Diversity Advisory Board, and Vice President of the Board of National Association of Minority Contractors. Nawal is a graduate of the University of Saint Thomas, with a degree in Finance and Computer Science and MBA from Northwestern. She is also Lean Six Sigma Certified Project Manager.
