Michael Osborne

Biography: Michael was born and raised in northern Indiana, where he began his now 40-year professional career as part of the family real estate brokerage business. After earning master's degrees in Urban Planning and Economic Geography, Michael spent a decade in the public-sector, including positions as Director of Community & Economic Development with the City of Elkhart and Executive Director of the Evansville Dept. of Metropolitan Development. In 2007 Michael joined Near North Development Corporation (NNDC), where as President & CEO, he was responsible for more than $40 million in affordable housing & mixed-used development projects and established the organization as one of the most innovative, technically proficient, and high-performing Indianapolis community development corporations. In 2021 Michael and his wife relocated from urban Indianapolis to suburban Hamilton County and in 2022 he departed NNDC to devote more of his time to personal interests and more of his professional expertise to serving his new home. Today, as i3 Community Housing Solutions, Michael leverages the full depth and breadth of his experience to assist local government and non-profit organizations find inspired, innovative, and impactful ways to meet the housing needs of the communities they serve.
