Orla O'Connor

Biography: Orla is a Tax principal based in San Francisco, Orla leads KPMG’s Bay Area Real Estate Tax practice and co-leads KPMG’s national leadership team for Qualified Opportunity Zones. Prior to KPMG, in addition to law firm experience, Orla was Special Assistant to the Deputy Chief Counsel (Technical) at the Internal Revenue Service, and internal tax counsel to Goldman Sachs and The Carlyle Group. Orla earned her law degree from Columbia University and her undergraduate degree in foreign service from Georgetown University, and previously worked as a foreign service officer in Mumbai, India.
