Biography:
Albert Z. Praw is Executive Vice President, Real Estate and Business Development, for KB Home. Mr. Praw is a member of the Company's Land Committee and a member of its Operating Committee. He also manages the Company's mergers and acquisitions activities. Mr. Praw, after being KB Home's principal outside real estate attorney, joined the Company in 1989 as senior vice president and general counsel. Since moving over to the business side, he has overseen KB Home's housing operations in Southern California, Las Vegas and Mexico City, Mexico, and its low-and moderate-income multi-family operations. Before joining KB Home, he was a partner in the law firm of Sidley & Austin, practicing real estate and corporate law. Mr. Praw earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of California, Berkeley, and his J.D. from UCLA Law School in 1972. While at UCLA Law School, he was a member of the UCLA Law Review and Order of the Coif. He is a member of several industry trade groups, including the Urban Land Institute and the California Building Industry Association. Active in the community, he is Vice Chairman of the Board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Federation of North American, a member of the Board of Governors of Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
