Christopher Ptomey
Biography: Before joining the Town of Blacksburg in 2024, Christopher Ptomey served as executive director of ULI’s Terwilliger Center for Housing. Previously, Ptomey led Habitat for Humanity’s US government relations team, served as federal liaison for the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, and was senior legislative assistant to Rep. Michael Collins (GA). During his time at ULI, Ptomey directed research including the launch of ULI’s Home Attainability Index and publications focused on family renter needs, low-density rental development, tenant and property stability, and homeownership attainability. Ptomey is a graduate of Haverford College and George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School and is a member of the Tennessee Bar.
