Hilary Provinse

Biography: Hilary B. Provinse joined Berkadia in 2018 as Executive Vice President and Head of Mortgage Banking, and a member of Berkadia’s Management Committee. In this role, Ms. Provinse oversees a team of 130 experienced mortgage bankers located in 31 offices across the country, serving clients across all multifamily and commercial channels with expertise in seniors housing and healthcare, hotels and hospitality, student housing, affordable housing and manufactured housing. Ms. Provinse ensures Berkadia clients benefit from our market expertise and deep relationships with diverse capital sources, including Fannie Mae Freddie Mac and HUD. In 2017, Berkadia’s loan origination volume totaled over $24 billion, closing over $7 billion of loans with both Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Berkadia was also ranked 2nd on Fannie Mae’s list of top 10 DUS producers for 2017, as well as #2 with Freddie Mac and #1 with HUD. Previously, Ms. Provinse was Senior Vice President and Head of Customer Engagement at Fannie Mae, where she was responsible for managing all of Fannie Mae’s multifamily production activities and customer relationships, including the Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) lending platform, Structured Transactions, Seniors Housing, Affordable Housing, Small Loans and Borrower relationships. Prior to joining Fannie Mae in 2003, Ms. Provinse spent 10 years in public finance investment banking, working for Goldman Sachs & Co. and Bear Stearns & Co. in New York. Her responsibilities included analyzing debt and credit, financial forecasting, capital planning and valuation analysis for borrowers. Ms. Provinse has a bachelor of arts in history from Dartmouth College and a master of business in finance from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
