Courtney Ross

Biography: Courtney Ross, Chief Economic Development Officer for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, has oversight of the economic development team that acts as the 10-county (1.9 million population) region’s lead marketing agency for economic development, with functions including business recruitment, business retention and expansion, talent retention and recruitment, and international business. Since 2014, Site Selection magazine named the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce one of the nation's top economic development groups each year. Ross was named one of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers by Consultant Connect. Courtney has been with the Chamber since 2008 and in her current role since 2014. Ross is a native of Memphis, TN and moved to Nashville from Austin, Texas where she worked in recruitment for the Austin Chamber of Commerce. She has worked in economic development in Texas and Tennessee for 19 years. Courtney and her husband, Jason, live in Nashville with their two children, Jake and Ellie.
