Nicholas Raby

Biography:
I currently serve as Associate General Counsel of Global Real Estate at Menlo Park based Facebook, Inc. My practice primarily focuses on advising Facebook in all matters relating to its global office, industrial and data center property portfolio. Since joining in February of 2013, I have provided strategic counsel to Facebook’s global real estate team as it has scaled the company’s worldwide portfolio to over 105 offices and 12 data center properties in over 33 countries. Prior to joining Facebook, I served as Corporate and Real Estate Counsel at San Francisco based social and mobile games studio, Zynga Inc., where I helped the company quickly scale in anticipation of its December 2011 IPO. I began my legal career at Berliner Cohen in San Jose, where, over the course of four and a half years with the law firm, I primarily represented Silicon Valley developers, landlords and financial institutions. Outside of my law practice, I have been an active volunteer advisor in the San Francisco Bay Area real estate community. I recently joined the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity, Greater San Francisco, and have been actively involved with ULI at both the national and local district council levels since 2007, serving as a board member for ULI’s San Francisco District Council from May 2011 to February 2013 and as the co-chair of ULI San Francisco’s Young Leaders Group Steering Committee from May 2011 to September 2012. I earned my J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2006 (along with an honors certificate in intellectual property law) and my B.A. in Political Science from UCLA in 2001. During law school, I served on USF Law’s Advanced Moot Court Team and as an Executive Board Member on its Journal of Law and Social Challenges. I spent my 1L and 2L summers as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Stephen V. Manley of the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara. Member Directory  Arrow
