Tim Rose
Biography: Tim Rose, Ph.D. CEO University of Virginia Foundation Charlottesville, VA Tim Rose is Chief Executive Officer of the University of Virginia Foundation, steward for approximately 5,200 acres for the University of Virginia, including the Boar’s Head Inn and Birdwood Golf Course, Morven Farms, and the Historic Renovation Corporation. In addition to these real estate projects, the Foundation provides financial management assistance to the University’s Capital Campaign and develops and manages two research parks – the Fontaine Research Park, and the University of Virginia Research Park. Dr. Rose formerly served as an Assistant Vice President for Administration at UVA and has held positions in student affairs at Miami University and James Madison University. Dr. Rose received his undergraduate and masters degrees from Miami University and his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. He has served in various leadership positions with the Urban Land Institute, Albemarle County Police Foundation, Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce, County of Albemarle Airport Planning Committee, Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority, North Charlottesville Business Council, Charleston’s School of the Building Arts, Leadership Charlottesville, Thomas Jefferson Planning District Sustainability Council, Charlottesville Community Land Trust, Trinity Presbyterian Church, Salvation Army and Love INC. Tim is married to Margaret Williams Rose and has two children -- William and Matthew. (September 2011)
