Biography: Brian started his career with Pulte homes where he worked in Houston building houses. In addition to building new homes, he also pursued in town renovation projects in the Heights area of Houston. This early experience led to a further desire to pursue land development which ultimately resulted in Brian joining American General Land Development in Houston. Following work in the corporate office, Brian transferred to Florida with American General where he served on a team and then ultimately was in charge of developing one of the largest master planned communities in the state known as Westchase. Westchase was a 2000 acre master planned that at build out included approximately 3,500 residences. American General was acquired by Terrabrook and Brian worked with Terrabrook finishing out Westchase and also led the efforts on acquiring and launching two additional master planned communities on the west coast of Florida. Brian joined Southern Land Company in 2002 and moved to Nashville Tennessee, to launch Westhaven, which is one of the Southeast’s largest planned communities and is the largest Traditional Neighborhood Development in the Southeast. Brian also oversaw Southern Land Company’s single family expansion into Texas and Colorado. Brian was named President of Southern Land Company in 2008. In this capacity, Brian oversees all investment activity related to the company’s residential, multifamily, commercial and office portfolios. Brian is responsible for the operating departments, including commercial construction, property management, infrastructure, horticulture, home building and sales. Brian received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University, majoring in Finance and Real Estate. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Auburn University with a concentration in Operations Management.
