Biography:
Byron Stigge Director Level Infrastructure New York, NY As a global thought leader for urban infrastructure planning, sustainability and resilience, Byron has a passion for understanding technical aspects of how cities function and the impact infrastructure can have on everyday lives. He studies and practices innovative methods of delivering energy and climate change planning, water and wastewater management, transportation planning, and solid waste management through an integrated design process. He founded LEVEL to be specialist consulting firm which provides planning and technical advice for development projects with grand aspirations to address climate change, resilience, economic justice, and environmental protection in cities around the world. Education: 2004-2005 Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Master of Design Studies in Environmental Planning 1999-2001 Massachusetts Institute of Technology School of Architecture and Planning, Master of Science in Building Technology 1995-1999 Washington University in St. Louis School of Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Minor in Architecture Byron worked at Buro Happold Engineers from 1998 to 2012 before starting his own practice, LEVEL Infrastructure. LEVEL works to build a world where all cities have transportation, energy, waste, and water systems that contribute long-term cultural, ecological and economic value to all of their residents. The firm designs sustainable infrastructure systems for low carbon cities through technical expertise in transportation planning, flood protection, renewable energy and energy efficiency, water and wastewater planning, ecological stormwater design, and sustainable waste management. We provide sustainability and resiliency planning services for master planning projects in the United States and around the world.
