Biography:
Caroline Skuncik is the Executive Director of the I-195 Redevelopment District in Providence, Rhode Island. In this role she oversees the redevelopment of 27 acres of former highway land. The redevelopment aims to create a new hub for Rhode Island’s growing innovation economy while reconnecting neighborhoods once separated by the highway. Prior to joining the I-195 Redevelopment District in 2017, Caroline worked at Rhode Island’s economic development agency, where she led real estate investment activities. She has also worked for a Boston area community development corporation developing affordable housing and for planning and public policy consulting firms. She holds a Master in City Planning degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA in Sociology and Environmental Studies from the College of William and Mary.
