Jerry Szatan

Biography: More than thirty years’ experience in corporate site selection, economic development and real estate investing in the United States and abroad. I formed Szatan & Associates, a location strategy, site selection and economic development consulting firm based in Chicago, in 1998. Site selection projects include headquarters, R&D, manufacturing, distribution centers, call centers, regional and back offices, and other corporate facilities for companies from Asia, Canada, Europe and the United States. I'm a former economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. I've written extensively for Urban Land and other publications and spoken widely about regional economies, economic cluster development, demographics and workforce, site selection trends, universities and development and other topics.
